DESCRIPTION A 25-year-old man presented as a trauma alert to the emergency department after being involved in a motor vehicle crash. After appropriate ATLS (advanced trauma life support) evaluation, a large bulky head wrap was removed revealing a 25-cm transverse laceration extending from the medial brow traversing the most cephalad portion of the right superior helix, and extending toward occiput.
